Virtual Production in Filmmaking with AIE
Manning Clark Hall, Kambri Cultural Centre
Kambri Precinct – 154 University Ave, Acton ACT
- Friday 7 to Sunday 16 July, 12.00PM - 9.00PM
Event Description
For the Filmmakers
At the Manning Clarke Hall and Kambri Cultural Centre (ANU), we will be showcasing our virtual production set that allow filmmakers to combine live-action footage with computer graphics in real time.
So, all the times you sat on the couch watching The Mandalorian wondering how they managed to create an intergalactic world when we haven’t mastered the spacecraft yet – well, this is how!
We will also be running workshops, panels and live demonstrations utilising our virtual production set.
For the Gamers
At the AIE Canberra campus, in Watson, we will be hosting a 2-day GameJam for participants aged 16+. Over 32 hours, teams will work together to create a game from scratch.
If you have skills in design, art, animation, VFX, programming or any other area you can contribute to making a game. We will be getting you hands-on with latest software, organising teams and helping you have a blast in a supportive and exciting environment.
Make sure you don’t miss out on this immersive creative experience!
The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is Australia’s most awarded educator in specialist games and visual effects.
Our teachers are highly qualified industry veterans who’ve made their names creating the games you’ve played and the movies and visual effects you’ve watched.
This year, the AIE is thrilled to be a part of the ACT government’s Unchartered Territory festival.
